Thursday, December 1st - 1.00 to 4.00 pm
Sustainability is a major topic of discussion in agriculture. The farm business needs to take into consideration its ecological and social impact. Society assigns various responsibilities to farmers apart from production of food in quality and quintals. To ensure these responsibilities are met, an eminent panel of speakers will deliberate on this issue.

Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture:
Friday, December 2nd - 11.00 am. to 2.00 pm.
Changes in temperature and other climate functions are impacting agro-ecological conditions and food production. Seasonal changes in rainfall and temperature are altering growing seasons, planting and harvesting calendars, water availability, pest, weed and disease populations, etc. The panel will examine these impacts and discuss ways of mitigating the risks arising out of these.

Strategic planning in turbulent times:
Friday, December 2nd - 03.00pm to 6.00 pm
Uncertainty in climate and market suggests that a strategy that recognizes various scenarios of future and is opportunistic in focus will be critical to success. This session will bring the most recent strategic positioning concepts and tools to the group and illustrate their application to successful farming operations.

Post Harvest Technology & Food Processing:
Sunday, December 4th - 10.30 am to 4.00 pm
Ignorance about grading, packaging, cold chain management and processing among farming community is a major hindrance to get fair prices for agricultural produce. A special session will address post harvest technology and opportunities in food processing industries which offers scope for rural development.

Crop Seminars and Role of Government Agencies in promoting agriculture
December 3rd & 4th - 10.30 am to 6.30 pm.
Share and learn the best practices. Keeping in mind current trends, scientists, experts and practitioners will share their experience and knowledge with local farmers. About variety updating, disease control, Input and water management for cash crops (Table grapes, Pomegranate, Onion, Vegetables, oilseeds and cereals.)

Women in Agriculture:
Sunday, December 4th - 04.00 pm to 6.30 pm
To illustrate women's significant contribution to Indian agriculture industry, a workshop will be conducted to further seek skill empowerment, financial independence to create respectable role of women in Indian agriculture.

Dairy Conference:
Monday, December 5th - 10.30 am to 4.30 pm
Dairy and live stock sector has been playing an important role in Indian economy and is an important sub-sector of Indian Agriculture. It supplements a farmer's income and is an effective alternative or diversification to core agriculture. India has vast potential in live stock products such as milk, egg, meat, wool, fisheries etc. At Krishi 2011, participants will get an insight into the opportunities and challenges of this sector.
